Placing a hold will allow you to reserve a physical item in advance, meaning that you'll be able to request that the librarians at Hatch pull the book off the shelf and keep it at the circulation desk until your able to come by and check it out. 

In order to place a hold, follow these steps: 

1. Log into your Hatch account on the Hatch website. 

2. Look up the item you want to reserve using the search bar. 

3. Click the "place a hold" button on the right

4. Check for email confirmation that the item is on the hold shelf.
